The Griffin-Spalding Partners in Education (PIE) raised almost $25,000 during its 24th annual golf tournament to benefit the teachers and students of the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS). Thirty-six teams played in the tournament held at the City Park Golf Course on Friday, September 26. Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund classroom grants, field trip grants and teacher tuition reimbursement scholarships. This year’s first-place team was SRS Inc.; the second-place team was Jackson Road Elementary; and the third-place team was the Griffin Exchange Club. Read more: https://5il.co/3qh4a

Today is IT Professionals Day! Our schools and students rely on technology for everything from lesson plans to attendance. Today, let's celebrate our IT professionals who keep our computer systems running smoothly and securely. We appreciate the work you do behind the scenes to ensure our students, teachers and schools are always connected!

We have two exciting events happening next week! Please join us on September 18th at 4:30 pm for our Literacy Night in the cafeteria. September 18th is also the 1st day of our book fair. It will be held in the media center each day until September 23rd.

This month, all GSCS schools will help fight hunger in our community by participating in the Manna From Above Food Drive. You can help by sending canned goods to school with your students this month.

GSCS is excited to share that our Fall Fling 5K and Bazaar will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025! Register to participate in the 5K or just plan to come shop from our employee vendors. The event proceeds will benefit staff and teacher appreciation initiatives throughout the district.

Please join us for our annual Title I meeting. It will be held on September 12, 2025 in the media center at 9:00 a.m. or you can join us on Google Meet at 4:00 p.m.

Grandparent's Day Luncheon💕
We are excited to announce that our Grandparent's Day luncheon this year will be on September 10, 2025. We look forward to seeing all of our wonderful grandparents. The cost to eat lunch will be $5 per person. We ask that you kindly RSVP and pay before September 9th. Please call the front office if you have additional questions (770) 229-3746.
