Thank you for helping us kick off the school year with such positivity and support! We’ve loved seeing your smiling faces each morning and appreciate your partnership in ensuring a smooth start.
Beginning Monday, students will begin walking to their classrooms unassisted. For the safety and independence of all students, parents and guardians will no longer be able to walk children to class after morning drop-off.
Please know that our staff will be stationed throughout the hallways to warmly welcome and support students as they make their way to class. We are confident in their ability to shine and grow in independence!
Thank you again for your continued support in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for all Moore scholars.
Warmly,
Dr. Olukoya

Subject: 🌟 Thank You for a Phenomenal First Day! Important Reminders for a Safe and Smooth Dismissal 🌟
Dear Moore Families,
What an amazing first day back! On behalf of our entire team, thank you for helping to make the first day of school such a success. It was a joy to welcome our scholars back and see so many bright, smiling faces walking through our doors. Your partnership means the world to us, and we’re excited for a safe and successful school year together.
As we move forward, please take a moment to review these important dismissal reminders to help ensure safety and efficiency for all students:
🚗 Car Rider Dismissal:
All adults picking up students as car riders must remain in their vehicles during dismissal. This allows us to follow the correct order of arrival and provide smooth, courteous service for everyone.
🏷️ Car Rider Tags:
To help us move the line quickly, please ensure your car rider tag is visible on your dashboard or hanging from your rearview mirror. This helps us identify you quickly and load your scholar safely.
🚶♂️ Walker Option:
If you're unable to wait in the car rider line, you may wish to change your scholar to an A or B walker. This allows you to retrieve your child at the designated walker exits. However, parking on the street is not permitted and may result in a ticket from local authorities.
⏰ No Early Dismissals After 2:00 PM:
To limit classroom disruptions and maintain safety, no students will be dismissed after 2:00 PM. Please plan accordingly.
📝 Transportation Changes:
All transportation changes must be submitted in writing—either as a note with your child in the morning or by emailing the front office.
Photo ID Required for early pickup:
All parents or guardians picking up students must present a valid photo ID for the safety of our students. Your cooperation keeps our students safe and secure.
With your support, we’re off to a fantastic start. Thank you for helping us create a safe and positive learning environment for every child.
With gratitude,
Dr. Olukoya

Classroom Emergency Bags:
All classrooms in GSCS will be equipped with a standard emergency Go-Kit to help ensure staff are prepared in case of an emergency.
Security Monitors in Elementary Schools:
Beginning this school year, all elementary schools will have Security Monitors provided by Synergy Security Services. They will work closely with our staff to maintain a safe school environment.
Open Gate Metal Detectors in Middle and High Schools:
To enhance school safety, we will be using Open Gate Metal Detectors in all our middle and high schools. These devices will replace the previous Evolv system and are designed to improve efficiency. All students will be screened using the Open Gate system upon arrival on campus.
Increased School Resource Officer Presence:
Each high school in our district will now be staffed with two School Resource Officers (SROs). These officers play a critical role in promoting safety, building relationships with students and responding swiftly to any security concerns that may occur.
We appreciate your support and cooperation as we take these steps to ensure a safe learning environment for every student.
